An expensive Ferrari sports car was extensively damaged after it burst into flames on a Happy Valley flyover today.
The driver of the high-end car was unhurt as he managed to get out of his car before flames spread, police say.
The incident occurred in the Canal Road Flyover at about 2.30pm shortly after he left the Aberdeen Tunnel.
The driver, aged 55, stopped his car on the flyover outside the Hong Kong Jockey Club headquarters when smoke began pouring from the black-coloured vehicle. Shortly after he jumped out of the vehicle it burst into flames.
He was seen standing about 20 metres away from his blazing car.

“When officers arrived, the car was well alight, pouring out black smoke,” a police spokesman said.
Police closed the section of the flyover to traffic while firefighters extinguished the flames just after 3pm.
Police said there was nothing suspicious in the fire. “An initial investigation showed an overheating car engine was the suspected cause of the fire,” the police spokesman said.
