蝴蝶蘭文創董事長、作家吳祥輝25日在臉書貼文，語出驚人以「政治淫婦」辱罵總統蔡英文總統，批評蔡干預個人言論自由，前行政院長賴清德上午表態切割，蔡總統26日於臉書回應，情緒性的發言或作為，都無助於最後大選的團結，不要幫對立與仇恨添加柴火。
本土社團昨天發起「全民反併吞、護主權」行動，共同宣示反併吞、護台灣，吳祥輝在會中情緒激動的表示，「反對中國併吞台灣，反對蔡英文併吞賴清德」，吳祥輝25日晚間於個人臉書連發2則貼文，其中1則甚至用不雅字眼辱罵蔡英文，直接指蔡總統為「政治淫婦」，吳祥輝於貼文批評蔡，是公然出賣黨提名的同志，公開和黨的競爭對手勾搭，十足的公開政治通姦者。
蔡中午則臉書發文：「我們現在哪裡還有本錢，去經歷這樣的撕裂？情緒性的發言或作為，都無助於最後大選的團結，作為領導人要有更大的氣度和智慧，多為我們的支持者想想。」
蔡總統強調，「這樣的言語出現在初選程序中，這就是大家之前所擔心、焦慮的情況。」她也相信黨部和協調小組會盡最大的努力，讓整個初選的民主程序產生最好的結果，團結為2020打拚。
蔡總統表示，很多人因為她遭受的惡意批評而生氣，她要呼籲所有支持者，保持理性與冷靜，不要幫對立與仇恨添加柴火。「從2008走到今天，來自對岸、對手政黨的謾罵攻擊，從來沒有停過。執政以來，我為了推動改革，所遇到的攻訐辱罵，也從來沒少過。但蔡英文從來沒有因此退縮。」
蔡總統說，做好總統的工作是她每天都在做的事情。在初選的民主程序當中，身為民進黨的總統，她相信絕大多數的支持者在意的，不是初選誰輸誰贏，而是希望能夠全黨團結，一加一大於二，結合所有力量，一起堅持改革、守護台灣的民主，這才是最重要的。
