Does a Juris Doctor degree entitle you to a Dr prefix ?

I have been watching Taiwanese news lately and it seems that a lot of their politicians obtained a juris doctor degree in US. SMU, too, offers juris doctor degree. Google suggests that it's equivalent to a Ph.D. So are you entitled to use the Dr prefix in your name just like a Ph.D. ?

A name change does. You can add doctor to your name for 30 dollars
