SINGAPORE: An aesthetics doctor has been fined S$4,000 for fraudulently declaring to the Singapore Medical Council that he was not practicing, when in fact he did.
Roy Chio Han Sin, 40, admitted to doing so in February 2012.
He has admitted to another charge of practicing without a valid certificate from November 2011 to February last year.
Chio did so at "Dr Chio Aesthetic and Laser Centre Pte Ltd" and "Famicare Bedok Clinic".
Both clinics are located in Bedok South.
To renew their practising certificates, each doctor needs 50 continuing medical education points that can be accumulated over two consecutive years.
Chio failed to renew his certificate in time.
Last week, two doctors were fined S$4,000 and S$12,000 for similar offences.
