If you have run out of ideas, do consider safari / games drives in Zimbabwe. As know the economy is going to the dogs courtesy of Singapore's most expensive medical client Mugabe since the Brunei Sultan late sister in law, and everything is dirt cheap.

Here are the tips. Cover the magnificent Victoria Falls and stay at iconic Victoria Falls Hotel. You only need a night or two for this. Then head to Hwange National Park and stay at Hwange Safari Lodge. Its actually a hotel near the entrance for Park. They have bar on a high tower that you watch animals coming to the waterhole while sipping cocktails.

Spend at least 3 nights and do lots of games drives - early morning 5.3am start and late afternoon . Buy all your camera equipment and binos in Singapore.

Bring along US dollars cash.

If you more time to spare, head to Chobe National Park in neighbouring park. Chobe is magnificent but pricey as the country is well run and the Govt knows the value of its natural assets.

Sadly you will see the results of Mugabe's handiwork - supermarkets with empty shelfs, Wifi ultra slow, banks empty etc. Also note how well the locals speak - good command of the English Language and well educated. A legacy of the past. It has one of the best education system in Africa and Asia.

ps don't forget to buy the trillion and billion dollars notes as souvenirs at the airport. Previously legal tender during their times of hyperinflation now withdrawn and no longer legal tender.
