Sinkieland satellite dish illegal or not? In jiuhuland, Astro satellites can be seen even in the rural ghettoes.

Fuck the PAP govt and its Internet censorship, including the non-porn websites which go under the radar. Certain ISPs are also extra zealous when it comes to blocking streaming websites etc.

Starlink is about making 5G obselete and bypassing censorship.

i’m already paying us$110 per month for comcast hybrid fiber-cable broadband. fiber from data center to nearest hub, cable from hub to home. will consider starlink if it’s $69 per month.

So what is it that Starlink can offer that Singtel cannot ?
if you want speed, fiber is the fastest. if you want global coverage, leo sats are the mostest. you can have both. one for fixed location like your home, other for convenience and consistency of connection while you travel, especially in remote places and on a yacht while you sexplore. don’t need starlink at home if its not on a ranch in the middle of nowhere in montana where even cellular connection is a crawl.

Still, it has to go through the country's ISP, right ? It doesn't mean that if I'm hooked to Starlink I can go to anywhere in the world and my internet is still intact, right ?

depends on the sat service provider, and any agreement signed between provider and relevant cuntry authority. for example, vsat and inmarsat are popular with ships, and there’s coverage in the oceans bypassing cuntries’ jurisdiction. no, they don’t need to connect to local isp’s. for example, globalstar is still in service, and they provide terminals and handsets. their earth stations are strategically located across the globe without the need to be station-present in every cuntry to operate. those few stations connect to data centers and isp’s nearby. same principle works for starlink.

globalstar business service coverage is even better than the personal call and data service map. but it’s old and slow 2.5g tech.
