SINGAPORE: The highest bid for a hawker stall from Oct 13 to 26 was S$5,999 for one located at Golden Mile Food Centre. This is according to the list of five highest tender bids for the period published by the National Environmental Agency (NEA).

Reminder, those new 'hawker centres' built in the last half decade or so are fake hawker centres... think of them as non-aircon food courts managed by F&B cronies.

Hawker who bid so high, you have ownselves to blame
Dont always think bid high, get the stall, sell food higher
Dont expect Customer to pay for Hawker fault
Once bid culture lower til $800 per stall
Then we can ask Local to try this industry
