Do uou switch off the main plug after switching off your TV or computer monitor after using?

I do but my girlfriend doesn't. I feel that it waste electricity. If you are not watching TV or using the computer monitor, you should switch off the mains too. Same with water heater, oven or microwave.

I cannot understand her why she doesn't. I ask her why doesn't she switch off the mains and she says wastage is negligible. But I say it's still wastage of electricity.
