Father Danker said that currently, the school has more rich students because he understood poor peasants have no affinity DSA scheme.
"In Peasantpore, if your dad do not earn a million peanuts annually, then he is mediocre, therefore his children will be mediocre.”
The principal of Jurong Secondary School, Ruby Tan, hinted that the portal would help poor students and parents become more aware of the choices not made available to them.
"Ah Goh Goh say, if your parents don't make one million peanuts, they are useless, so forget the rich schools sonny," she said.
Meanwhile, with the new limit on the number of school choices potential applicants are given in the portal, schools such as 六月神教 Girls' School say they could potentially see an increase in the number of scions who qualify based on "raw talent".
The school’s Fat Cat principal, Lackey Helen Chong, noted that the school has always offered all their available places to applicants whose parents are very capable, and earn a million peanuts annually if possible.
"KNNCCB, other richer schools also steal rich students from me as they have better facilities or richer parent donors.”
Lackey Chong also stressed that the rich schools are “partial to socioeconomic status” especially so after ex-regent Woody Goh says only millionaires are capable while the others are duds.
"When they apply to us, that's one piece of information check," she said. "If their Ah Pa or Ah Ma earn a million annually, then we only want to know whether they have the potential to earn one million and be donors in future."
