Did Mahathir pocket M$207billion Jap govt compensation for Death Rail victims?

The sum of RM207 billion or whatever the amount must be revealed by Mahathir.

He was close to the Japanese government and corporate sector when he promoted his Look East Policy aimed at enhancing trade with Japan.

The money, believed to be amounting to RM207 billion, was meant to be distributed to some 30,000 Malaysians who had been recruited as forced labourers by the Japanese to build the Thai-Burma rail link.

This means each affected family is entitled to receive between RM2.8 million and RM3 million as compensation.

The stinking part of the Umno-led Barisan Nasional (BN) federal government is that the public is today unaware of the compensation payment by the Japanese.

We would have thought Mahathir would have brought the money back from Japan in triumph, like a victorious Roman general.

Umno would have organised a huge gathering of the victims or their families and distributed the money. No, it was all covered in secrecy!

And who in their right minds will believe this? RM207 billion shared among 30,000 Malaysians means RM6.9 million each?

I can believe it if it is RM2.07 billion or RM207 million but RM207 billion??? And which country gives away RM207 billion as though that amount is peanuts?

This Mamak is a Curse to the people and nation. He is indeed the Syaitan of Malaysia. For a resource rcih nation like Malaysia, his achievements were nothing to shout about. In fact it is his job as the PM. For 22 years, he has left the despicable legacy as follows:

- Large numbers of poor Malays (despite 40 years of NEP) & the Federal & State Governments controlled completely by UMNO Malays.
- Massive losses (in billions RM) suffered by the country in MAS, Port Klang, tin & forex trading
- The sorry state of affairs (independence & professionalism) in the judiciary, police, MACC, AG Chambers.
- RM 52 out of RM54 billion (at IPO price) bumi equity that was disposed for quick profit which has resulted in the 30% bumi equity being a contentious issue even today
- Rampant corruption (through direct awards at obacene prices, bailouts & financial subsidy/grants to cronies, granting of Government & timber lands at dirt cheap prices, etc) which has become an incurable disease
- Selected UMNO Malays, war lords, cronies & family (e.g. Mahathir's billionaire son) being so filthy rich when large number of rakyat remain poor.
- Untold misery to the masses through "artifically inflated" car prices due to protection of Proton & AP beneficiaries.
- Systematic discrimination & marginalization of the non-muslim minorities due to blatant abuse of Article 153 based not on reasonable proportion but rather abnormal & obscene proportion
- Lopsided Agreements with the IPP & Tolled Road Operators, etc
- Racial disharmony mistrust & hatred being promoted & reinforced.
- Selective prosecution & harrassment of the opposition & peaceful dissent through blatant abuse of power in ISA, OSA etc.
