Her son who is 32 and a divorcee hooked up with a Prcian MeiMei. Within two months the mei mei moved in with her son. Now Mei mei is 5 weeks pregnant.
Our family friend though disapprove of her son's relationship ,asked her son to marry the mei mei , so that the child will not be born illegitimate.
To her shock, her son told her that the mei mei is actually married to a China man in China ! And she is not yet divorced form her husband!
Of course being conservative she advised he rson to get out of the relationship and ask the woman to abort the child. BUT apparently th eChina mei mei has convinced him that she is deeply in love with him and intends to keep the child.
Question:-
1) can the child be registered as a Singaporean when borned despite his illegitimacy and his mother being in an adulterous liason.
2) can the China husband of this mei mei sue herfor adultery and sue the Singaporean for compensation, as a co-respondent in the affair?

Yes to both questions.
It's common occurrences in China. Usually the husband will ask the man to pay him a hefty sum of money for compensation, saving face yada yada yada.... (know what I mean?). And by the way, it's VERY common for the woman to use such a method to get out of a unhappy marriage ( telling sad stories, getting pregnant by the stupid fool who falls for her, blah, blah, blah....). Believe me.... I 've seen alot of these here in China. It's what they called, a "old scam" used long time ago and apparently the scam is being use on S'porean commonly nowadays.
