Authorities in Harris County, Texas, are on the hunt for two teenage girls who went missing last weekend after apparently arranging to meet a man they had 'friended' on Facebook. Liana Andrews, 16, and Kacie Watson, 14, both of the Cypress section of Houston, are believed to have run away from home last Friday night after Liana's grandmother, who had been watching them, went to bed. On Tuesday, a car belonging to Andrews' mother, Lana Turner, which vanished the night the girls took off from home, was discovered abandoned in San Antonio, about 400 miles away from Cypress.
Missing: Liana Andrews (left), 16, and Kacie Watson (right), 14, both of Houston, are believed to have run away from home last Friday night to meet a man off Facebook
Growing concern: Law enforcement officials classified the girls as endangered runaways, but their families say they should be considered as missing persons because their lives are likely in peril
Liana's mother told the station KHOU11 that her daughter and Kacie were last heard talking on the phone with someone and giggling. Liana later sent a message to her grandmother saying that she and Kacie, her friend from church, would return home at around 1.30am Saturday - but the girls never made it back. The 2001 gold Chrysler Sebring belonging to Liana's mom was found four days later near the courthouse in downtown San Antonio with the girls’ clothes and makeup inside.
Since the church friends are believed to have sneaked out of the house willingly to meet a Facebook friend, police have listed them as endangered runaways. However, Kacie and Liana's families insist that the girls' lives are in peril, and they now want law enforcement officials to reclassify their disappearance as a missing persons case.

'My daughter and her friend are in danger,' Miss Turner said. 'I know that and I want them found.'
Kacie Watson’s grandmother said that while they do not know exactly what happened, they are beginning to think that the two girls may have been abducted.
‘They are normal teenagers -- not perfect kids -- but taking the car and driving that far is way out of character for them,’ Watson's grandmother Ernestine Lomaz told the Huffington Post. Andrews is described as 5 feet 2 inches and weighs about 100lbs. She has a burn scar on the bottom of her right foot.
Watson is 5 feet 6 inches and weighs 132lbs. She was last seen wearing a pink long-sleeve button-down shirt, brown leggings and brown shoes.

Both of the girls have brown eyes and hair, but Andrews has blonde tips.
While Watson is pictured in thick-rimmed glasses in the photo used for the ‘missing’ poster, she does not usually wear them.
If you have seen Liana and Kacie, you're being asked to call the Harris County Sheriff's Office at 713-221-6000 or report it on the county's missing persons website.
