SINGAPORE: A dentist who practises at a clinic in Bukit Timah Plaza has been suspended for six months.
Dr Lee Wai Han pleaded guilty to three charges of professional misconduct under the Dental Registration Act.
The first two charges were related to Dr Lee's inappropriate treatment of a patient.
One charge was in respect of Dr Lee's recommendation and performance of an attempted closure of two extraction spaces on the patient's lower jaw, while the other charge related to her recommendation of and placement of 18 veneers on the patient's upper and lower teeth.
The third charge was related to Dr Lee's failure to refer the same patient to a specialist when she encountered complications in the management of the patient.
The Singapore Dental Council said Dr Lee's suspension took effect on Monday.
