You like to think that you know what's best for singapore - that universal rights and representative government must prevail - but you're all sadly mistaken. You don't understand the psyche of the average singaporean.
If you do, you'd realise that if this island were a democracy, you'll get hoodlums and radicals in parliament, like religious evangelists, neo-facists, and reckless liberitarians. Singaporeans are not equipped with the common sense to tell the "right thing" from the emotionally appealing, so they need Big Brother to handle the big matters from them. Dare you dispute this?
Dream your little dreams, for even if the PAP is toppled, the new governers will become authoritarian eventually. This is the only way to manage this island.
