Cyclist crashed into woman at NEX busstop on a bicycle & pedestrian share lane. He claimed that the woman didn't look out and he can't stop in time

Knocking down people means you are largely at fault even if the idiotic elderly didn't keep left or walk in the middle of the shared path or make a sudden swerve while walking into your path.

Hence, no choice as a cyclist, you have to slow down and ensure safety for everyone.

Honestly, I hate such fuckup pedestrians who refuses to keep left. As much as I want to crash into them, I have to control my frustrations as a responsible cyclist on shared paths.

I will just curse them in my heart that one day, some other cyclists will crash into them and cause them irreparable bodily injury.

And there are some pedestrians that are literally deaf. You can ring your bell to alert them and they can totally be bochap. No choice and still have to endure the frustrations because the moment you as a cyclist crash into someone, you are largely if not totally at fault whether you have right of way or done the necessary bell alert. Just curse them in your heart and hope that one day, they will meet their fate because not every cyclist they encounter is a responsible cyclist.

The worst pedestrians are those youngsters who walked in the middle of the shared paths, eyes glued into their phones with ear buds. For goodness sake, for your own safety, if you want to do that, keep left.

As a PCN, shared paths and pedestrian walkway cyclist, I never speed and always on alert. I make sure I can always apply your brakes in time.

When I see an adult walking slowly with and elderly or child blocking my way as they occupy the whole path, I ring my bell and when they give way, I always say to them, sorry or thank you.

Be a responsible cyclist. Keep your cool when cycling on PCN, shared paths or pedestrian walkways.
