Came to know an ex-army campmate's father passed away when his bicycle got hit by car, on his way home after work.

I gave him a call to express my condolences. I asked if driver was punished, he said no fault of driver because it was his father's oversight after long day at work. He was calm and came to terms with it.

The reason of me sharing this is that car drivers have more control of the road and even if the cyclist is wrong, we should give them some leeways. Many of us will.

Except those tour-de-france ones, of course.

Never ride on a busy road. Or ride very early on a sunday morning.

Singapore roads were never designed to be shared with bicycles....

Accidents will happen on the road. It is just that when it involved cyclists the risk of death and serious injury is very high compared to the cars and vehicles.

In the 1980's its almost impossible to cross a Chinese road due to cyclist.

Good. One less parasite on the road. Cyclists in the wrong does not make a right. Glad to see this case. The driver is not paying the cost for another mistakes. I also hope the driver will get just compensation the damage to his car.

Cycling early in tbe morning has its hazard. People driving drunk and just returning from the dance clubs.

What’s wrong with the Tour de France ones?
