Curry puffs for sale are made in dirty Kelantan Rd coffeeshop by street peddlers

Quite a common sight to see these Malaysian guys and Minahs selling these kind of curry puffs at Boon Lay interchange and other bus interchanges..

Don't buy from them.. Play safe, better buy from Polar or Old Chang Kee..

That's right many of these peddlars around. Not only curry puffs but otaks too. You don't have to go boon lay even in AMK or bishan area they have those. I think only the malays would buy from them. The chinese would buy from those stores you mentioned. Probably too expensive at old chang kee for some mlaays.

Dunno why people still buy from all this shit stores. Curry puff so easy to make but also easy to get food poisoning as I notice alot of crappy places dont wash the potatoes or even soak them after dicing. I would just buy from old chang kee and not other places.

How come the Environment Ministry is so lax today? Maybe this place is unlicenced.

After seeing those pictures...I swear i will NEVER buy from the street again !

Those from factories will not be any cleaner as well. I have been to those food factories before and trust me, I have never bought from their shops after that.

We have apologised twice: Old Chang Kee
:(

After taking her first bite into a sardine puff she purchased from an outlet at the Singapore Post Centre last Wednesday, 32-year-old Sandra Jana, Maggie's sister, discovered the insect (pictured above) in the filling. The incident caused an online furore last week after it was reported.

"She saw something that looked like a shrimp in the curry puff," said Maggie, who recounted the incident to Yahoo! Singapore. "But she looked closer inside and realised it was something that looked like a cockroach."

Not sure about Polar though... :o

Those from licensed hawkers stalls or bakeries are good enough for me....

i love curry puffs. and my feeling is the standard has dropped tremenously. even my favourite tip top has gone down....polar more expensive and now of poorer standard....those franchised stalls standard all dropped...:(
