Curbs on cars/houses- govt vs venders vs people

Fascinating contest. Govt put out curbs or 'cooling measures' and vendors hit back with discounts, flashy advertisements in papers. People r still biting but maybe thinking more before they go in. Who will win? Can govt really bring prices down to soft landing? Anyway govt already winner in this..the extra revenue from the cooling measures should show up in the Report card later.
Only casualty so far seems to used car dealers who r now crying for help. Think maybe govt will throw them a bone to keep them afloat!

the losers are those stupid fishes who took the bite to get into heavy debts to buy scrap metals that bring them from point a to b.

and they show you the sad faces you see in the office every morning!
