Two youths arrested for robbing 70-year-old man

Two teenagers who robbed a 70-year-old man two months ago.
The 16-year-old youths attacked the old man at the void deck of Blk 509, Serangoon North Avenue 4 on February 3 at about 5.30am.
The old man was hit on his head and pushed to the ground. His attackers made away with his handphone and some personal documents.
As the incident happened suddenly, the victim did not manage to take a good look at his attackers and was unable to provide any leads to the police.
But officers from the Ang Mo Kio Police Division made extensive investigations and managed to establish the duo's identities.
The first suspect was arrested at his home at Blk 203A Compassvale Road on Monday at 9.25am, while his accomplice was nabbed at his home at Blk 622 Yishun Ring Road an hour later.
They will be charged in court on Tuesday with robbery with hurt. If convicted, they face a maximum jail term of 20 years and 12 strokes of the cane.
