Kunming couple arrested for home-made porn

A young Chinese couple have been arrested for selling home-made pornographic films, much to the dismay of their legion of loyal fans.
Police in Kunming, the capital of southwestern China's Yunnan province, recently arrested a 23-year-old woman surnamed Gu and her 28-year-old husband surnamed Li. Kunming's public security bureau said it was the first time Yunnan authorities have arrested locals for producing pornographic films.
Gu, using the name "Meiniang"–meaning seductress in Chinese–had been writing, directing and starring in her own "themed" adult videos with her husband and uploading them on her website for subscribers to access for a fee. The website also offers live performances and contains nude photos of Meiniang, who said she is a renowned Asian adult film star.
Police said since last February, the couple has also made more than 30,000 yuan (US$4,820) selling their videos through instant messaging applications and by email.
Many of their original films were filmed outdoors such as in gardens and parks, on stairwells, highways, video game arcades and karaoke booths.
The general consensus on chat forums–across both sides of the Taiwan Strait–about Meiniang is that even though her looks may be average she more than makes up for it with her enthusiasm and effort.
