Let's face it as long as the PAP is in power the costs in Spore are just going to go up. Only have to look at the track record of the PAP We have the highest paid civil servants in the world with an entitlement attitude & do you really think they will ever cut back on any of their wasteful spending

It's not that Spore doesn't have enough $$$. Rather why would they want to share it with "lesser mortals". It's in the PAP's self interest to keep lesser mortals poor & dependant on the PAP. An independant citizen would start asking too many questions such as where is their CPF money.

As for the claim that LKY has been good for Spore. This is debatable. I think it was more that he stole the credit from the old guard. Anyway many of the problems that Spore faces today are the result of LKY's past & present policies .

Once people see that there's a "problem" that will be the end of the LKY mystique. It will be a case of hero to zero.

A slow down in influx of foreigners is not the cause of higher cost of living. Our inflation rate is high, the cost of living is high because the PAP government continues to take in more foreigners. We already have 2.3 million of them and they adding to that!
