Cops detain 2 men linked to Sarawak businessman murder

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah police have picked up two men in their 30s to facilitate investigation into the recent murder of a Sarawakian businessman.
Police nabbed a local and another Sarawakian on Wednesday in Penampang area, near here.
State police commissioner Datuk Hamza Taib said the duo were being detained for a week for investigation under Section 117 of the Penal Code for abetting the commission of an offence by the public.
Tiong Choon Kwong, 44, shot after he stepped out of a restaurant to answer a call in the Beverly Hills Commercial Complex area on Aug 3, about 10.40pm.
The father of two succumbed to injuries at 12.15am at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
