印度唯一一艘航母“维克拉玛蒂亚”号又出事故。
据新德里电视台报道，今天上午，“维克拉玛蒂亚”号在进入印度卡纳塔卡邦卡瓦港湾时发生火灾，一名参与救火工作的海军军官死亡。

印度海军在一份声明中指出，死者身份为海军中校指挥官乔汉（DS Chauhan），20岁出头，上个月刚刚结婚。火灾发生后，乔汉参与到了救火过程中，待火势得到控制，乔汉因吸入烟雾而失去了意识，被送到医院之后，已经去世。

声明强调，印度军方“迅速采取行动”，令火势得到控制，以防止航母作战能力遭严重损害。
目前起火原因不明，印军正在进行调查。
“维克拉玛蒂亚号”号是2013年印军从俄罗斯购买了的一艘二手航母。该航母在北德文斯克造船厂进行了大规模改装后于2013年11月交付印度海军，造价23亿美元。

但印度这艘仅有的航母，近年来事故不断。
早在交付给印军之前，2012年6月1日，“维克拉玛蒂亚号”号在俄罗斯进行改造时，该航母锅炉房发生失火。
2016年6月10日，“维克拉玛蒂亚”号航母在印度西南部进行维护时，又发生“毒气泄漏”事故，造成2死2伤，死者中包括一名印度海军人员。
而近年来印度海军屡屡陷入安全事故之困。其中伤亡最惨重的一起，要数2013年8月14日，印度海军的“辛杜拉克沙克”号潜艇在孟买的海军船坞内发生爆炸沉没，导致18名艇员丧生。最后在耗时1年花费4000万美元后，潜艇终于打捞出水。

The statement stressed that the Indian military "quickly took action" to control the fire to prevent serious damage to the aircraft carrier's combat capability.
The cause of the current fire is unknown, and the Indian Army is investigating.
The Vikramatia was a second-hand aircraft carrier purchased by the Indian Army from Russia in 2013. The aircraft carrier was delivered to the Indian Navy in November 2013 after a large-scale modification at the North Devinsk Shipyard, costing US$2.3 billion.
