Comparing PAP and SDP minister salary proposals. Here PAP means the government. All annual figures.

Prime Minister
PAP: $2,200,000
SDP: $672,000

Minister
PAP: $1,100,000
SDP: $504,000

Parliamentarians:
PAP: $192,500
SDP: $168,000

President
PAP: $1,540,000
SDP: $756,000

Some observations:

1) Basically SDP has proposed everything lower - something not unexpected. The two MPs salaries are very close though. Hence, it seems SDP is rather socialist to even things out. Gap for PM is biggest.

2) Kudos to PAP to have President's pay reduced to below PM's pay. SDP lost the chance for few popular points, despite wanting to score them, by keeping a negligible role like President to be highest paid.

SDP is too far to the left, even for a bloody leftie like me.

That being said, their ministerial wage proposals are the most acceptable I've seen.

I believe they wanted to keep Prez above the PM just to signal that the PM already has such overwhelming power and it'd make no sense to even reduce the Prez salary to below PM just to acknowledge his puppetry role.

"Minister ka ki chiat buey liao" was the most spot on statement coming from an old but wise grannie.

SDP's salary scale is worthy considering..

Whatever it is.
Thanks to the Aljunied voters.
Without them this exercise would not have been possible.
Want more?
Bring in few more Opposition GRCs in the next GE!
Let the old bastard taste his own medicine slowly before he expires.
