I agree that screwy has a lot of explaining to do to the lau chiaus here with his strange behaviours in the past few weeks. I think the stress of the erections may have taken its toil on our friend. The PAPzis govern a country like how fascists run a country, with a corporatist strategy based on the belief that an elite group is the only one capable of governing and that earning profits is central to most of its policies. It doesn't matter what they say or promise because their beliefs will not change. As long as the PAPzis implements a policy, it will be twisted and warped in as far as its intention is to help the people. Again, profits is central to the policy-making decisions.

Something as simple and sacred as public housing has been distorted for nearly 3 decades to ripoff the lower and middle homeowners such that a significant amount of the Reserves are actually attributable to contributions from the lower and middle income homeowners.

But the travesty doesn't just end there. Rental or shops in HDB estates also escalate in accordance and this means that costs for the higher rentals are transferred again to the lower and middle income HDB families. It's a vicious cycle and one that hits lower and middle income families profoundly.

he can easily say if there are 15-20 Oppositions in parliament, there will be bitter political fighting like what happen in USA, Taiwan, South Korea. PAP and Oppositions will do battle in parliament over politics, not policies which will set the country backwards.

Tharman is actually very poor. He speaks well but he cannot hide the vile policies of the PAPzis when faced against a knowledgeable opponent. He will lose easily when faced against someone like Leong Sze Han or Tan Jay See or even CSM.

Tharman's assertion that the lower income doesn't pay taxes is totally ridiculous! Every dollar paid by the lower income group over and above the true cost of building a flat + the land cost, at acquisition, is indeed a tax. And there are billions upon billions of such money paid by the lower income that has gone directly into the Reserves. Tharman can deny as much as he wants but he cannot deny that a sizeable chunk of the Reserves includes housing payment from the lower income.

Tharman's other assertions on how the GST has helped the poor was also very poor and the statistics he provided lacked facts and figures and when taken at face-value are actually really ridiculous. In fact they are just as ridiculous as his assertions that the lower income group does not pay any taxes other than GST.

It's a shame that the Alternative Parties did not send someone with more financial and economic knowledge to meet up with Tharman for the TV debate. Tharman would have sweated his balls off if he faced an opponent of quality because Tharman is supporting PAPzis policies and we all know how PAPzi policies are skewed towards the benefit of the government and the rich.

Don't forget that the Growth dividends and such are quite farcical and shows LHL's desperation to win over votes even at the cost of losing face and facing ridicule for his pork barrel politics. BOth are dirty and LHL is more dirty in my opinion. THe bases for the dirt is different because things have changed but it is true that both will resort to dirt and all means and ways to stay in power and to dictate terms within the PAPzis and towards Singapore.
