A Fistful of Dollars (1964)​

The spaghetti-western genre (this one shot in southern Spain) managed to turn Clint Eastwood into a Hollywood star. He had been doing gunman roles on television for years when Sergio Leone arrived with his new western masterpiece: 'Per un pugno di dollari'. The career of Clint Eastwood, not exactly a youngster with his 34 years, began to rise to glory.

For a Few Dollars More (1965)​

The trilogy of the dollar was underway and the gunman with the impenetrable face and poncho became an icon in this internationally successful film. 'Per qualche dollaro in più' is another great film that reinvents the rules of the classic western genre.

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly (1966)​

'Il buono, il brutto, il cattivo' would be the third collaboration between Italian director Sergio Leone and Clint Eastwood. This is where the so-called “dollar trilogy” closes and Clint Eastwood returns home to carve his way in Hollywood.

Coogan's Bluff (1968)​

Back home, Clint Eastwood partnered with another director who would be instrumental in his career: Don Siegel. In this film he adjusts the traditional sheriff archetype of the old western for an audience of the 1960s. An updated Western movie with violence as its axis.

Kelly's Heroes (1970)​

In line with Robert Aldrich's 'The Dirty Dozen,' this war film demystifies and lowers the hero status of those who fight in wars. Specifically, it depicts a group of American soldiers who plan a robbery, disregarding the values of freedom and justice that have led them to France to fight against Hitler.

The Beguiled (1970)​

This impressive piece was directed, again, by Don Siegel. Clint Eastwood is a soldier from the north whose life is saved by a group of women left behind in a southern mansion during the American Civil War.

This was Clint Eastwood's first directorial film. He also starred in it. Critics had to admit that the time when an actor only knew what to do when he was in front of a camera had now passed.

haven't watched this movie. hope Eastwood old movies like this one stand the test of time when I finally watch them.

Directed by Clint Eastwood and played by himself alongside his young son Kyle. It may not be the best film of his filmography but it is worth seeing as a curiosity.

After the solemnity of classic cinema in 'Pale Rider', Clint Eastwood launched into the thick-line parody of 'Heartbreak Ridge.' It contains multiple crude jokes but is one of those films that have acquired some strange kind of cult status.

'White Hunter Black Heart' is a tribute to John Huston, who is also the protagonist of this adventure story. Describing the filming of 'The African Queen,' this movie is one of the best performances of Clint Eastwood and also an excellent job as a director.
