SINGAPORE : Some 74,000 civil servants in Singapore will be getting a mid-year bonus of half a month salary plus S$250 in July, the Public Service Division (PSD) of the Prime Minister's Office announced on Friday.
It said the government has decided to pay an Annual Variable Component of 0.5 month as the Singapore economy continues to grow at a healthy pace, expanding by 8.3 per cent on-year in the first quarter of this year.
In line with the call by the National Wages Council to help low-wage workers by paying a dollar quantum, civil servants will get an additional S$250.
