Am using Lenovo Windows 10.
Switched on and suddenly, Chrome browser disappeared.
Did a Virus and Malwares scan.
Nothing detected.
Reinstalled Chrome.
But, each time I clicked Chrome, Bing browser will appear.
Then it prompts if I would like to set Chrome as Default.
I clicked YES, but is goes on a vicious cycle to install Chrome again.
Any idea how I may resolve this problem?
Thanks a lot.

Some editions of Windows 10 only allow you to use preinstalled Microsoft software, fyi.

This might help you:

By the way, I see no point in setting a default browser, unless you are lazy and want to double click on the link shortcuts and saved webpages on your desktop. Just pick one with an icon that looks nice.

microshit and gobbledygoog at war on os and browser space. avoid at all cost. buy a mac and don’t look back.

I used 3 browsers, Edge, chrome and brave.

All the cheebyes talk like didn’t pass through the brain before typing out. Fucking talk cock. Oh by the way, I only use my MacBook Pro to surf YouTube and other useless shit. ThinkPad is for serious work.

more like “sumting wong with chevy? buy a tesla.” fellali has one of the worst maintenance and service records for cars. in one of my previous roles, i did security updates for all corporate laptop platforms, and microshit was the worst in terms of number of modules in os and applications and frequency of bug fixes and updates - 16 every 2 weeks. and it required at least 69 minutes per user to download, install, and reboot. meanwhile, macbooks only required 1 single patch or update per month. if a corporation has over 69k employees with microshit laptops, the amount of updates and associated downtime per employee is staggering. moreover, it was never smooth sailing nor flawless for the os and applications after updates. employees had to call the helpdesk and wasted precious hours in line and on the line. thus, i got top management’s blessing to convert all employees‘ laptops to macbooks, and the company saved millions with payback in less than a year.

I think I have 4 browsers in my laptop because when I watch free live football, if this one does not work well, I change browser.
One question, Java no more support on Edge by end December 2020, other browsers?

Ah Pek not sure.
Googled and found this.
Hope it helps.

Although no support exists for Java in Microsoft Edge, Windows 10 users can navigate directly from Edge to view Java content. ... Windows 10 not only includes the Microsoft Edge web browser but includes the Internet Explorer web browser too.
The aha! moment — Internet Explorer still supports Java.

While some web browsers like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Opera stopped supporting Java applets, others never supported them, like Microsoft Edge.
Only older browsers like Internet Explorer still support Java applets today.
