After centuries of bloodshed, religious conflict and scandal a new claimant to the British crown emerged yesterday.

The prospective King Allan, a military veteran from Colorado, says that he can prove he is the victim of an historic injustice.

He announced his intention to claim the royal estate in 30 days by placing a public notice in The Times.

The future king, known to neighbours as Allan Verno Evans, 55, says he has traced an unbroken line of primogeniture back to the third century.

Perhaps surprisingly Mr Evans, who lives in a £230,000 three-bedroom townhouse, is recorded as being affiliated to the Republican Party in the Denver suburb of Wheat Ridge.

Mr Evans, who is living in Maesteg, south Wales, said that he will delay…

American lays claim to throne

Long exiled in America, the rightful king of England -- so he says -- finally comes forward Man from Colorado claims to be 'rightful king' of Great Britain and will 'claim his estate in 30 days'
Tobias Pedroso | 02 Marcha, 2017, 11:19

Britain could have a new king in 30 days: an American is clamouring for the crown jewels.

That challenger is Allan V. Evans, hailing from Wheat Ridge, Colorado.

The future king, known to neighbours as Allan Verno Evans, 55, says he has traced an unbroken line of primogeniture back to the third century.

It is not clear what Evans' next step will be and no contact details were listed in the advert.

Evans is giving "legal notice" to all of his relatives, according to the ad, and in 30 days plans to claim his "royal historic estate", as well as land, assets, and titles.

Second, he promised not to take the throne until after the beloved Queen Elizabeth II passes away.

But the Queen need not worry just yet - as he has been kind enough to wait until after she dies before assuming the throne "out of greatest and most deepest respect".

In 1901 the Macon Telegraph reported that a fire burned down the county courthouse which Mr Evans said destroyed evidence that he was the rightful owner of the plot. (You can read the full account of this incident in the legal humor website, Lowering the Bar).

He didn't end up getting his hands on 400 acres of rural farmland in Georgia, so he went for the natural consolation prize: the British crown.

The ad says: "Take heed and rejoice, all Welshmen, Scots, Manx, all Britons, and all citizens of the great nation called Great Britain, that the light of freedom and egalitarism shall be promoted and promulgated, that democracy and all democratic values will be promoted and that Lady Britania who has contributed so much to the culture and history of the world shall be renewed and made great once again".

David Mapstone is the man who brought it to our attention. It's hands down the most convincing throne-usurping backpage newspaper advertisement we've seen yet.

AN ECCENTRIC American says he will claim the British throne because of an obscure ancestral link.

Kooky Allan V Evans put a rambling ad in The Times insisting he will launch a bid for his “royal historical estate” in just thirty days time.

But the Queen need not worry just yet – as he has been kind enough to wait until after she dies before assuming the throne “out of greatest and most deepest respect”.

The two-column advert says Mr Evans: “Shall further pursue an injustice of history by claiming by right the Throne and Sovereign Crown of Great Britain at Westminster, upon whence the sad future death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, as he will not out of greatest and most deepest respect depose her in life for the great service and selfless sacrifice that she and her husband HRH Prince Philip has rendered to this great nation.”

Mr Evans claims his ancestral links date back to the third century AD and that he is a descendent of Cunedda – an early Welsh leader in the 5th century, who was according to legend sent to the region to stop Irish and Pict incursions.

May be Charles need also to use baby oil VX to take care of this distanced relative in America, alike how Kim Jong Nuke took care of his half-brother VK Kim.
