PLA rapidly mass produced so many types of news weapons, to replace their own old weapons, but there are huge amount of old stocks which still have some useful lifespans. They are not cheap and not to be wasted tax payers' funds, so Chinese media suggested to spend them on Ah-Nehs, since they asked for it!

In a way this is very similar with what Old George Bush did with the near-expiry stock pile in Europe which were stock for Cold War with USSR, he basically spent the stock pile on Saddam Hussein and billed their Kuwaiti and other EU & Japs and Arab sponsors. {original Desert Storm} Fucking Lucrative! The ammo are expensive to do disposal when the expire, so it is good to find a war to spend them all. Chinese idea now is to spend old DF missiles on Ah-Neh-Land, which the old missile are more than sufficient to take care of business and burn up the Roti Prata to ash.

It is rather old video of an old weapon, and appeared in video rather obviously that they were towed by light trucks and with not-so-heavy TEL frames, indicating that the rocket fuel and liquid oxygen etc, were not loaded inside. By old design this was the way that rocket can be transported light, with tankers carrying fuel and oxygen separately, it is safer but not operationally ready. It appear that the missile is to be erected vertically at launch site 1st, then pump in the oxygen and fuel subsequently, to launch the IRBM. That was the old days' method. This old method also don't keep fuel and oxygen inside missile for long term stand-by, and fuel & oxygen are to be emptied off the missile if they were loaded and not launched within a short period. According to data the DF-3 IRBM launch weight is 65 tons, which the light TEL and trucks in these video are not capable to handle.

In comparison the new DF-21D which launch weight is only about 15 tons got much heavier TEL truck, and these trucks can pass snow, sand, m&d, and creeks and deploy off road.
