China have about 5,000 years of history of suppressing and castrating innovators and inventors. It'll take China another 5,000 years before they get anywhere near US in science, provided Chinese politicians get to understand innovations and inventions are good even if it makes innovators and inventors richer than politicians, all prosper and progress.
