CCP trying to compensate from busy lines to power usage line.
They are trying to up the price daily necessities like utilities. Cos the other part of economy is not working and they need to feed the fat cats manning all these basic essential.

More than 1000 km, flight is faster and cheaper. Plus less wear and tear. Imagine the amount of force exerted on this high speed rails. Needs to be constantly maintained and refurbished.
