Why? If the UK, France and the US will officially announce their alliance to combine and use their nuclear arsenal for this war, do you still think that Bloodymir Putin will still dare to push the N button? Even if he dares, who will suffer the most at the end? No doubt in the event of such a situation happening, all the 4 countries mentioned will be affected, but when it will be 3 attacking 1 simultaneously and at the same time, it will be a quick end. Just like if not for those 2 A bombs dropped onto Japan, how many more years will WW2 be dragged on instead of 1945?

If Russia is allowed to win this war today, Bloodymir Putin will definitely consider himself as untouchable and be even more bolder. He'll surely plan for his next invasion in Eastern Europe within the next 8 to 10 years. How then to end this bastard and his ambition? Also, Winnie will be further encouraged by Russia's victory in this war and will eagerly eye the invasion of Taiwan on his next agenda.

I believe the west is restraining themselves, because escalating the war (and going nuclear) is a lose-lose for everyone. Economic sanctions are working well, plus the projecting of western power to make Putin think twice. This is a very combustible and fluid situation, but everyone knows that Putin cannot be allowed to win. Because it's a slippery slope from there. The ideal scenario now is for someone or a team in his inner circle to do a successful Stauffenberg on him.

There will be a price to pay to end this war. It's only a matter of who pays more. By the time the sanctions will cripple Russia, Ukraine would already be history. Don't forget that Germany and Italy still have to rely on Russian gas and oil at least until the end of this year, especially if Germany's recent negotiation with Qatar and the UAE will be fruitful. So until then, the funds from these 2 energy sources are still flowing at US$800m per day into Russia. Must learn from Bloodymir Putin when he said: If a fight is inevitable, then you must be the first one to strike.

To depend on Putin's assassination by his own inner circle, it'll be like asking @tanwahtiu to go and kill Winnie. You think this is possible?

Cool heads and patience are the order of the day, but I agree that Ukraine does not have the luxury of time. From this war, we can all now see how important being nuclear capable is as a deterrent. There will be many more countries having nuclear arms henceforth. Europe now has realised the folly of relying on a dictator for oil and gas, many things were done wrong. And everyone is paying a price for it now, with ukraine paying the highest price.
