A patron at a pub in Changi Village had a litre of milk poured on his head, was then punched repeatedly by none other that the pub-owner. On Tuesday, Richard Low Chuan Woo was fined $1,500 for hurting Mr Chandra Krishnan.

During the four-day trial that ended in July, a district court heard that the unemployed man went to the Ramesses pub on the evening of June 22, 2008. He said that he had two glasses of red wine, ordered a jug of beer for a friend and ladies' drinks for the three women at his table.

The 53-year-old then ordered a Brown Cow - a drink comprising Kahlua coffee liqueur and milk. There was no milk in the pub and the waitress asked him to order whisky or brandy instead.

Mr Chandra, who testified that he suffered a heart attack three years ago, turned it down and offered to get the milk from the 7-Eleven store across the road.
