Other than doctors, financial executives, CEOs and software engineers that India exports another great export is Chandrika soap which I've been using for more than 20 years.

Compare to the other body soaps including liquid body soap like Shokubutsu, this Chandrika always leave you feel very clean and energetic after each shower and the smell is very therapeutic clears your mind.

Anyone here uses it too? Its worth a try.

i prefer dr wong sulphur soap. too bad he stop selling them.

the more ah neh's use it, the better for the rest of the world.

Never heard of this is this local product?

You tried it yet? I thought the smell is quite therapeutic like it wakes you up.

Tried it before. Not too bad. And cheap too

Chandrika soap, plus popinjay, & there was one, that has very good scent blue in colour (forgot the brand), life buoy ( semi round translucent type)we used for a very long time, we use LUX etc too...about two years back, the quality of Chandrika has fallen, so has Popinjay, nowadays, we use Dove...liquid soap.

When when I was young, before we could afford LUX soap, Palmolive etc....the family use, the tan/orange coloured 1 foot ( 30cm) long Lam Soon soap bar, where, you use the chopper & cut them, into tiny bars or you buy the chopped up small bars from the provision shop. That Lam Soon Soap, was used for wishing clothes on the wash board, bathing, shampoo hair...ha ha ha :D

Once in a while back then, we will buy the chandrika from the ah neh shop....

That lam soon soap last very long too :D

Back in those times, all mothers. "swear" by the Lam Soon Soap..it was a multi-purpose soap. If I am not wrong the soap factory was at Ulu Pandan Road, where either Allsworth Park is or Pandan Valley Condo is....you could smell, the "sabun" ( soap), when you are nearing the factory....:D

Have seen the 999 soap, but never used it..

It has a pungent smell and leaves your skin dry, but it generates an awesome amount of foam and bubbles. It also cleans thoroughly supposedly helps fight ringworms and other skin ailments.

If you keep it in a moist environment after use (e.g. inside the bathroom) it will eventually turn into some translucent, gooey and mushy blob (something like freshly made nian gao). So proper storage is important.

If you have a naturally dry skin, don't use it everyday. Once or twice a good is enough.

Thailand has many interesting products (e.g. snacks, soaps, medicine, condiments) that it doesn't export overseas. Even the products at Golden Mile's Thai Supermarket is limited in variety.
