Fight breaks out during wedding in India after dessert runs out, wedding gets called off

What was meant to be a couple's joyous wedding reception in India descended into chaos after a brawl broke out over a dessert shortage.

According to Indian news outlet, NDTV, the incident occurred at a hotel in the Bodh Gaya village of the northeast Indian state of Bihar on Nov. 29.

CCTV footage from the hotel was shared on X and quickly went viral, showing guests from both sides fighting with plastic chairs in their rage.

Not enough rasgulla, more than enough chairs

The clash started shortly after the wedding rituals concluded, and the bride's family members complained that the rasgulla supply at the food counter had depleted.

Rasgulla is a popular Indian dessert.

The bride's family was staying at the hotel while the groom's relatives had travelled from a nearby village.

In the video, guests are seen breaking into a heated scuffle, using plastic chairs, plates, and other objects to strike one another.

Others traded punches and kicks.

The couple was reportedly on their way to the wedding hall when the scene unfolded.

The brawl gradually subsided after several other guests intervened.

Police said several people on both sides were injured, reported NDTV.

Groom's family blames bride's family, wedding did not proceed

The matter was not resolved amicably afterwards.

Authorities confirmed that her family had indeed filed a dowry complaint against the groom's side after the wedding was called off following the altercation.

While the groom's side was willing to proceed with the wedding, the bride's family declined to continue.

The groom's mother alleged that amid the chaos, the bride's family took the jewellery she had intended to gift.

His relatives also claimed they had booked the hotel.

In 2025, Hindus in Toronto, Canada built 2 giant statues measuring 51 feet of Lord Ram in Mississauga and a 54 foot Lord Shiva statue in Brampton. Canadians are up in arms at what these new citizens are doing in their country, and who can blame them? We are seeing such belligerent behaviour in S'pore too from these people.

shitskin are the scum of the earth. The pap sold us out when they signed the ceca deal.
Specific clauses in CECA regarding entry of professionals like Intra-Corporate Transferees (ICTs) and 127 specific occupations are of particular concern. There is preferential access to Indian nationals, allowing them to bypass S'pore's fair hiring standards. ICTs from Indian companies may be transferred to their S'pore offices for up to 8 years w/o the company first having to advertise the job to S'poreans under the Fair Consideration Framework (FCF).

Such preferential access has emboldened them, making an already disgusting bunch of subhumans more disgusting and reprehensible. They never seek to fit in, they want to dominate and stamp their smelly, 3rd world pawprints on everything.

I've read about that, they're disgusting scum. Just like those muslim immigrants to Europe, they want to change their host country into the shithole country they came from.

These damn CECAs are trying to recreate their homeland wherever they go to! Imagine if this 51-foot statue appeared right smack in the middle of your neighbourhood or town centre.
