[Mong Kok Shopping Mall] letter and CD shop stay in the 90s shopkeeper: Guangdong new dish is simply bought
The letter and center is undoubtedly one of the landmarks in Mong Kok. However, among the old generation of letters and "tidal shops", only the last two houses are rented, and the number of record shops that have been the most prosperous and occupy multi-storey shops has also been greatly reduced. In the 1990s, the letter and record store was a local pop music indicator. Every time there was a local king, the number of orders in the record store was thousands, but in 2018, the letter and record store still seemed to stay in the time and space of the 1990s. Pop music is still a popular hit record.
For the 20-year-old record shop, the shop is a boutique. The current record is a boutique. Some passengers specially wrote letters and searched for the old Cantonese discs and Teresa Teng. Some special edition old CDs cost more than a thousand, and the new Cantonese dishes. "I don't want to buy it at all."
Mr. Dong Chen, the record store: a lot of opportunities in the era
During the heyday of the record industry, there were record shops on different floors of the Xinhe Shopping Mall. At present, it is concentrated in the basement of the Xinhe Center. One of them is “Pantouzi”, which is carefully laid out and has more than 10,000 Tibetan discs.
Mr. Chen, the shopkeeper, said with a smile that he had less time to read. He had a chance to make a record and sold it. He only invested 10,000 or thousands to open a shop. "There are plenty of opportunities in the era." Records were important entertainment, "Want to listen to songs." Be sure to buy the disc first to hear it. In addition to being attacked by pirated discs in the early years, in recent years, fans have changed their mobile phones to listen to songs, which has caused the sales of the albums to fall: "It is particularly difficult to sell in two years, and the prices are expensive, and the extra money is exempted. The number of selling discs has decreased. At present, the record goes on the boutique route and the price rises. Most people use it for collection.
Chen Yishu, in 1997, he ordered Aaron Kwok's new album. The first order was over a thousand discs. In the 1990s, many local discs were sold. In the year, the music "newcomer" Yang Qianxi, the first single book also booked hundreds. To this day, the local music scene has been sluggish. Mr. Chen admits that the new Cantonese dish is "all bought by people."
Those years of Guangdong discs are still popular among mainlanders for special treasure hunt
Nowadays, it is still the works of the local music scene during the heyday of the local music scene, but the market positioning has changed from pop music to classic gold music. Chen Zhi, the current second-hand Guangdong discs have a market price, especially during the holidays, there are often mainland Chinese tourists who come to Mandarin to come to the letter and treasure hunt, looking for old Cantonese dishes. He recently reclaimed a "Golden Song" published by Guan Zhengjie in 1983. Since it was made in West Germany, it is the first generation CD, and it is believed that the price is over one thousand. Another Japanese-made brocade dish was made in 1990. Estimate hundreds of dollars.
Chen also revealed that the record shop is becoming more and more difficult to do. In addition to the decrease in the number of people buying the dishes, "the inner wall (local Cantonese dish) is sold, the outside is sold first." In recent years, the Korean K-pop dish has also become the main source of income for small stores. Chen Zhi, K-pop dominates the trend. In recent years, Han Xing has been the best-selling player. The most popular one is the "BTS Bulletproof Youth League", which sells the most popular discs. Many K-pop albums have no local agents, and in order to reduce costs, they have to rack their brains to find a way to find parallel imports. He admits that he will continue to operate the record shop, but it is "two meals."
