All these talk about Yellow Ribbon Project is just pure bullshit from the government. Remember during the last IMF meetings held here, delivery personnel with prison record where barred from making deliveries to the convention centre. And now this. While we wait for the full online version, there is one particular case highlighted in the print version, where a 26 yr old guy who was supposed to work as a croupier was terminated becos of a shoplifting offence he committed 12 yrs ago when he was only 14 yrs old. Now is that fair? How about the foreigners employed for the IRs? Does the Casino Regulatory Authority (CRA) undertake the same stringent checks that is done on Singapore citizens? This is getting more and more ridiculous!! All these PAP govt talk about giving ex-prisoners a second chance in life is just pure bullshit!!

Some casino staff fired
Applications to work at gaming tables rejected by the authorities

IT WILL be months before the first cards are dealt at Singapore's two casinos, but several employees have already been fired because of stringent rules that dictate who can work there.
Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) has fired more than 30 casino employees, while Marina Bay Sands (MBS) has also told an unknown number of workers to go.
The Straits Times understands that the workers' applications to work at the gaming tables were rejected by the Casino Regulatory Authority (CRA).
