First they acquired all the wealth and fled their respective countries.

Did they contribute or return some of their gains to their societies like what Tan Tock Seng and Tan Kah Kee did?

Where hospitals and schools were built for the poor in Singapore when they became rich.

Wouldn't these rich settlers, with all their wealth, just enjoy the fruits planted by Singaporeans?

For the last 50 years or more, Singaporeans have toiled and contributed to what it is today

It is certainly be very wrong to call these new settlers 'Singaporeans'

'Resident Guest' will be more appropriate because they are here to enjoy and did not contribute to the building of Singapore.

Only their children, born here and the male conscripted before they are entitled to be 'Singaporean'
