I would like to implement an anti-counterfeit system using QR code on the packaging. Is there a 3rd-party software that will take care of everything? Or do I need to engage a programmer to create an app ?

I am aware of QR code generators. It's the entire system that I'm not familiar. I need a turn-key solution.

building QR code is DIY less you go for "pro" type with encryption that requires professionals

Now, its the configuration of your web page that counts!
and how you plan to authentic your products or prevent anti-counterfeit from others, that's the major leg works!
many have seals with serializations under package, only to verify when package is torn open.
QR code leads to verification page where product's details are officially listed on 'official and secured' page when login with the serial numbers.
its also depend how detail you want to be included for readers' cross-reference his/her purchase with the information provided that deters anti-counterfeiter from copying!

your schematic picture looks simple but the tricky part is how you manage your product label ID from production-packaging-release-warehouse movements-distribution-retail-consumer/consumption etc.
ask yourself if you wanna pay additional $$$ to manage/maintain the secure Cloud* Hosting/service for generating unique codes/WH verification?
do your warehouse-distribution* have the means to process your Product Recall/Return*?

all above* are to be answered prior embarking to abovementioned system.

I'd looked into Legal Compliance means too assess what my product licensed with? Requirements for licensed distributors or retail conditions etc.

then, the BIG question is . . . . are you the manufacturer or distributor?
assuming if you are the distributor, and you are not the only one . . . then are you licensed to distribute in your localisations?
if yes, then you gotta seek legal compliance with your manufacturer for them to assure you if there are due diligence to cover anti-counterfeiter?
this is why you paid for your license, right?
if no, then why haven't manufacturer take action?
coz counterfeiters only occur when they know their sources and routes bet. GDP.
you will "calculate" its worthiness for such implementations once you know your role i.e. rights & ownership for legal entities.
why?! this is because you are legally protected or assured when counterfeiter can counter-sue you! yes, no kidding.....


of coz, there are products out there with labels. artworks, QR codes etc. assuring consumers as anti-counterfeit system in-place but actually does not work at all
- just gimmicks!
