My friend earns $2k per month while his wife earns $5k. They have a child who is around 4 years old. The wife doesn't want the kid as she is very career minded. My friend is okay with having the kid as he loves the kid a lot but he is afraid that he cannot afford it. He is wondering if he can request for maintenance from the wife since the kid is also hers.
