SINGAPORE - Some "key members" of the National Safety Council of Singapore have been questioned by the Commercial Affairs Department (CAD) for misappropriation of funds, said police spokesman.
The council came under probe after the Traffic Police filed a report against it.
The council is headed by Mr Tan Jin Thong, 72, who is presently on medical leave.
Mr Tan said in the Straits Times report that he and several council directors were questioned by the CAD in September last year, adding that the CAD said investigations would take six months.
