SINGAPORE - A taxi driver made five threatening calls to a passenger who had complained to his taxi company regarding his poor service, not offering to help her with the luggage.

Long Khin Kheong, 56, was fined $2,000 on Tuesday after he admitted to one charge of criminal intimidation by using a vulgarity at Ms Natalie Kinnon Arnold and saying: "You had better watch your back, I am going to stab you."

The call was made somewhere in Tampines on Aug 9 last year.

The court heard that the 40-year-old victim made an advanced taxi booking for pick-up from Asia Square mall to Changi Airport on July 31 that year.
