Bus driver faces molest charge

A SCHOOL bus driver was charged on Wednesday with molesting a seven-year-old girl on two occasions on board the bus. Chan Boon Wee, 46, is alleged to have touched the girl's private parts while the bus was travelling from Upper Serangoon Road to Sengkang in March last year as well as on March 23. A pre-trial conference has been scheduled for March 1. If convicted, he faces a jail term of up to five years or fine and caning.
