Burglar nabbed in 12 hours <!--10 min-->

A HOUSEBREAKER was nabbed within just 12 hours - thanks to a crucial lead from a CCTV footage. Police were informed that a restaurant within a shopping centre located at Harbourfront Walk had been broken into and coins amounting to more than $1,000 were stolen at about 10.30am on Monday. Officers from Clementi Police Division conducted extensive enquiries in the vicinity of the restaurant and managed to identify a suspect from a CCTV footage. Following the lead, the suspect was arrested at North Bridge Road within 12 hours. The suspect will be charged in court on Wednesday with housebreaking and theft by night, and he faces jail of between two and 14 years, if convicted.
