<!-- START OF : div id="storytext"--><!-- more than 4 paragraphs -->AS A consumer, I am concerned about SingTel's monopoly of the iPhone market and its ability to serve mobile phone users in Singapore.
Take my case. A few weeks ago, I visited the SingTel outlet at Ang Mo Kio Hub to inquire about the new iPhone. I was advised to register my interest online (the officer did not even offer to help me register on the spot) and wait my turn. When asked about the waiting time, I was told: 'I don't know when, the queue is long.'
I subsequently registered online (on my third attempt and after several calls to and from SingTel customer service), only to be told again: 'I don't know how long you'll have to wait.'
I am not asking for preferential treatment but, as a consumer, I expect at least to be told about how long I have to wait. Is it so difficult for SingTel to give a time frame?

Steve Jobs thinks he is disabled
Crippled products, wounded god

APPLE MESSIAH Steve Jobs has been a bit sick lately but according to US gossip reports it could be a lot worse than anyone thought.

The sultan of smug has been seen parking his motor in a disabled carparks in Palo-Alto much to the horror of Apple fans who believe him to be capable of healing the sick with his beautiful entertainment toys.

Valleywag snapped a picture of his car in the park, which we assume that Apple fanboys everywhere will tell us is as faked as those moon landing photographs.

The Jobs paparazzo who took the snap said that Jobs looked thin but his face was healthy. Not as bad as the face of the disabled person who could not get in and out of the shops because the Jobs Mobile was parked in the spot we guess.

Maybe Steve is so preoccupied about the million or so iPhones that he has flogged with cheap parts that drop 3G connections, or the iPod batteries that catch fire, or the MobileMe service that breaks down so often they have to give it away. All that crippled product is enough to make you start wanting a disabled space, only Steve would actually park in one. µ
