A seven-year-old boy was allegedly molested by a young man at the National Library at Victoria Street on Saturday evening.
Lianhe Wanbao reported yesterday that the alleged molest took place in a public toilet on the first storey of the library around 5pm.
The boy's parents informed the library staff who then contacted the police.
When the police arrived at the scene, four policemen were seen interviewing the boy and his parents for about half an hour and taking notes. Policemen also spoke to library staff.
No arrests were made.
A police spokesman confirmed that a boy had allegedly been molested and that the suspect is believed to be a young Chinese male.
Police investigations are ongoing.
