Body of man found floating in Pandan Garden waterway

SINGAPORE: A body was found floating in the canal opposite Block 409 in Pandan Road.

Police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they received a call at about 7.30am requesting for assistance at the waterway.

The SCDF sent out a red rhino, two fire engines and an ambulance. When they arrived, they found a Chinese a man in his fifties motionless in the Pandan Garden waterway.

The body was pulled out of the water and paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

Police have classified the case as an unnatural death and are investigating. - CNA/ac
