The body of an 83-year-old man was found in Punggol River on Wednesday morning.

According to The Straits Times, Lim Ong Sai was found floating in Punggol River at Sengkang West at 7am and was fully dressed with his valuables intact.

Police said they received a call requesting for assistance at about 7.10am. The elderly man was pronounced dead at 8.35am.

Shin Min Daily News reported that the man had met friends at a nearby coffee shop on Tuesday night but did not return home by 2am. His sons started to worry and went out to look for him.

The police has classified this case as unnatural death and investigations are ongoing.

This is the second body found floating in Singapore's waterways this week.

On Monday, a badly decomposed lower body of a man was found in Bedok Reservoir. The lower body is believed to be 23-year-old Lin Xiao, a China national working in Singapore.

The mother of Lin, Hu Ping Zhu, has confirmed that the half-corpse is indeed her son when the keys found in the corpse's jeans pocket matched their house's locks. Hu also recognised the black Puma belt and faded jeans that was on Lin's lower body.

Meanwhile, the police are carrying out DNA tests on the body to determine its identity.

lianbeng asks, "who will change the river this time round?"

All these happenings could be the secret work of foreign talent. I hope our police make great effort to find the "talent" instead of simply brushed it off as unnatural death and than waited for few donkey years when the murderers are backed to their own cuntry to enjoy the fruits of digging gold here.
