SINGAPORE: The southbound train service between Khatib and Marina Bay stations started later than normal Thursday morning as maintenance hours had to be extended for additional checks and rectification between Ang Mo Kio and Bishan stations.
SMRT said their usual maintenance hours are from 1.00 am to 4.00 am. Service along the affected stretch began at around 6.00 am, some 25 minutes later than normal.
SMRT said bus bridging service was provided for southbound passengers travelling between the affected stations. Passengers were informed of the delay via Twitter and announcements were made at affected stations.
SMRT apologises for the inconvenience caused.
